This portrait marks the 100th anniversary of McCrae's writing of the poem, In Flanders Fields, in France, 1915.
Dr. McCrae's portrait design includes a medic's kit, his officer's cap and a bronze poppy for each of Canada's 23 regiments.
Unveiled in Artillery Park, Sussex Drive, Ottawa, on May 3, 2015.
