Stratford Festival Entry. Commissioned by the Stratford Festival.
Tanya Moiseiwitsch as an inspired young designer, made a daring choice to travel from England to help launch an
unlikely Shakespearean Festival in Stratford, Canada. She designed its distinctive thrust stage
on which Shakespeare's plays became fast-paced and experiential. Years later I built stage props
for Tanya in the Stratford Festival's well-equipped workshop. I admired her immensely.
